Richmond Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to join our growing REACH Team. The selected individual will perform intermediate skilled human support work maintaining the safety of clients, monitoring clients with special needs, teaching clients coping skills, encourage clients to adhere to treatment requirements, develops behavior profiles, collects behavioral data, models and provides coaching on appropriate behavioral techniques and interventions for DSP’s and QMHP’s, and occasionally facilitates treatment team meetings and trainings. Work is performed under the moderate administrative supervision of the REACH CTH Supervisor and clinical supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Essential Functions

Identifies and provides staff behavioral training in collaboration with supervisors of REACH Team Members.
Develops guest behavior profiles
Provides training and coaching on “Green Level Strategies”
Provides training and consultation to staff, families and providers.
Collects behavioral data and trains others on recording data, as needed.
Develops graphs based on behavioral data
Provides on-site direct support and consultation as needed for guests receiving Crisis Therapeutic Home services.
Directly implements behavioral programs
Collaborates with REACH CTH Clinical Leadership regarding admission and discharge planning of individuals supported by the program.
Facilitates treatment team meetings, as needed.
Completes and documents all mandated activities accurately, timely, and according to all regulatory requirements. Activities include, but are not limited to incident reports, treatment team meetings, daily behavioral data documentation, etc.
Prepares and maintains clinical documentation in accordance with laws, regulatory bodies, HIPAA, Human Rights, DBHDS, and RBHA standards.
Ensures required trainings are current and completed in a timely manner.
Trains REACH staff in Safety-Care Behavioral Safety Training Program.
Performs on-call duties with REACH CTH Clinical Leadership Team
Performs related work as required.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, counseling, nursing or related field;
At least one (1) year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically with individuals who have challenging behaviors;
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required.

Special Requirements

Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
CPR/First Aid/AED, Safety Care, QDDP, RBT, and Person-Centered certifications.
